We are busy at work designing Mika's seventh birthday invitations. Yes, it's 11 o'clock at night and yes, it is date night. But what can we say, we are in love. And when you're in love, you do crazy things sometimes.
So if this invitation was a literal love note, it would go something like this:
Dear Mika,
On the occasion of your seventh birthday, we want you to be surrounded by the things you love and the things you love to create; dumplings, sushi, lollipops, and your imaginary friend "owl" (the king!). We want to dazzle you with drums and diggers, spark your imagination with your "electricity" sculptures. We want to make your dreams come to life, first on paper, and then on the flags you love to wave.
Hopefully when your day rolls around next month, these flags will herald in our family and friends, eager to pick pumpkins, jump in the hay bales and party! For you, my little love, are something to celebrate.

Just received our flag invitation in the mail for Mika's birthday. Currently the coolest flag we've ever seen is on display in our great room creating lots of anticipation.
