Stylemaker Spotlight: Kimberly Wilson

I was extremely lucky to bump into Kimberly Wilson at a Womens' Business Panel about a gazillion years ago. We were both at the beginning stages of our businesses and it was just one of those times when I knew I was going to be friends with her.

I've had the pleasure of watching her business grow from teaching yoga classes in a church to the incredible empire it is today (see below for details). But the most impressive part about this style-maven is her generous spirit and the ability to put her signature style into everything she does. She's one of the best gift-givers I know (which is why she's being featured here!) and I always look forward to her gift bags or sweet presents she sends me, "just because." Read her answers to our questions and you'll see what I mean.

Kimberly Wilson is a teacher, author, activist, entrepreneur, and designer with a Master's degree in Women’s Studies. She is the Creative Director and Founder of Tranquil Space – named among the top 25 yoga studios in the world by Travel + Leisure, and author of Hip Tranquil Chick: A Guide to Life On and Off the Yoga Mat and Tranquilista.

When she's not bookstore browsing, you'll find her designing eco-fashion line, TranquiliT, sipping heaps of tea, or leading retreats globally. Her work has been featured on Martha Stewart Living Radio, in Daily Candy, Fit Yoga, and Shape.

With a passion for do-gooding, Kimberly launched Tranquil Space Foundation to assist women and girls with finding tranquility through yoga, creativity, and leadership.

She lives in a cozy raspberry flat in Washington, DC with two fancy felines named after French impressionists, a supportive beau, and a black pug. Indulge in ongoing lifestyle musings through her blog and podcast, Tranquility Du Jour.
